I’m so glad that damn media frenzy is over with.
It’s so over hyped and predictable-much like the Grammy awards were.
Though I didn’t watch either, the media hyped both so much and replayed “highlights” up the wazoo.
There are far too many award shows on television.
The Oscars are one of the worst and with each passing year they seem to decline even further.
The Red Carpet crap is ever so shallow as well. I for one do not care what some actress is wearing or what designer made the dress. Does anyone in the real world really care?
It was also too Politically Correct, too. Like who didn’t know that film being shoved up our asses by Al Bore would win for Documentary Feature?
Though I believe there is some global warming, it’s not the doomsday about to happen these eco-nuts keep trying to force feed us. Also if it was so fucking bad, why didn’t Bore do all he could when he was V.P.?? Where was all the push for cleaner fuels and the Let’s do this now bullshit then? Where was the huge push for bio-fuels and green cars? I didn’t see anyone in that administration have the balls like JFK did with the “We’re sending a man to the moon.” goal. He said do it, we did it as a nation.
Anyhow, all the people that were supposed to win, to make everybody happy and feel good and correct won. Yippee.
They need to bring back movies like “Ben-Hur” to be nominated and maybe, just maybe they can redeem themselves.

For the Seattle Super Sonics, I say “Hell No!”. But I say “Yes“, to Nascar.
First off, one of the Sonics Owners, C.B. didn’t want a public vote on spending public money to build their new arena.
That’s $300 million in public money for the project. Now, as of Monday he’s changing his tune.
Could the change of mind be due to various poll results saying taxpayers do not want to pay for it at all if they get no say in the matter?
I think so. He’s trying, in my opinion to make the public think he gives a shit that it’s their money. Before a public vote was a “deal-breaker”.
So I say Fuck Him and the other co-owners. Ship the (losing) Sonics to OK. and be done with it.
But NASCAR should have a spot in the state. It’s cheaper for the taxpayers-at about 188 Million. $24 million of it, would come from a bond issue backed by a tax on admission tickets. Those who go and use it most would pay more. Makes sense to me.
Not to mention all the jobs it would create and the additional industry related business it’d bring to the area and all the tourists.
Seems like a no-brainer.

Go ahead, drive your one kid around in that gas guzzling SUV. The more you drive-the richer they get.
And we all know just how money deprived the owners of foreign oil are. Of course the U.S. oil companies aren’t too far behind in the being broke department.

theme. It’s tweaked to my liking.
But then again I can be fickle and it may change in a moments notice.
That’s just me. an Enigma.

This was the “archway” theme.
It looked nothing like an archway to me, so I tweaked it a bit.
I’m still not set on one theme, so you will see them here on site, and in posts once I’ve changed them.
If ya got a favorite-leave a comment.

I figured since it looked like one, I’d fiddle with it a bit. and so it’s imperfect. Sue me.
